In ceremonies at the State Capitol
on September 29, Labor Commissioner Jim Bennett
was presented the first annual award for innovation by a public
service manager given
by the Auburn University/Montgomery Center for Government. The award
recognized the
commissioner's work in setting up new statewide elevator and boiler
safety inspection
programs--without cost to the state. |
